Some people are going nuts now finally getting out of Quarantine. This drunk guy tried wrestling a bear in Poland... it went better than I expected, honestly.
I've done some pretty amazingly stupid things when drunk, but I'm pretty sure I've never been drunk enough to think wrestling a bear was gonna be a great idea. A 23-year-old man at the Warsaw Zoo got himself arrested, thankfully not killed, for doing just that.
The Polish zoo was jut re-opened after lockdown, and already had to call rescue teams into save a man in the bear enclosure. In front of a crowd of onlookers, the unnamed man hopped over the wall and into the exhibit. The bear named Sabrina started coming his way so he jumped into the moat. She followed and the wrestling match began. He attempted to drown the bear at one point but ended up getting away and was rescued.
He was arrested and charged with animal cruelty, disturbing the peace and not wearing a face mask under the country’s coronavirus guidelines. He was sentenced to 20 hours of community service per month and agreed to give up alcohol.
He's pretty lucky it ended the way it did! I'm no interested in the highly embellished story he tells his grandkids one day, about that one time he wrestled a bear.
