Comedian DL Hughley collapsed on stage in Nashville over the weekend. He just explained what happened and how they found him positive for COVID-19 in a new video.
Hughley said that he was suffering sever exhaustion and dehydration when he start slurring words and completely passed out while doing stand-up in a Nashville comedy club. The audience laughed at first but then turned into a nervous gasp as peopl saw his body fall back into the curtain, before his manager grabbed him off stage and into the back room. He shouted "Someone call 911", as he carried Hughley off stage with several other men.
Hughley address the collapse in a social media video and also revealed that while he lost consciousness from the dehydration, they also tested him for COVID-19 and the test came back positive.He said, "I was blown away [by the positive test]. I was what they call asymptomatic, I didn't have any symptoms." He said he's gotta to quaratine in his hotel for 14 days now but said "I thank you for your prayers and your well wishes. A few more of em wouldn't hurt."
