A new movie being filmed titled "b" will star the first AI Actor. We all know how this ends right?! #NoThanks
Financial backers Bondit Capital Media, Happy Moon Productions and Ten Ten Global Media are throwing $70 million at a new film titled "b". Erica is the name of a fully automated artificially intelligent bot, that can perform almost exactly like a real actor.
She was created by Japanese scientists and is being taught to act with method acting practices. They are also simulating emotions, "through one-on-one sessions, such as controlling the speed of her movements, talking through her feelings and coaching character development and body language." Vin Diesel can't even do that.
The plot of "b" follows a scientist who learns how the program he created to perfect human DNA, is dangerous and helps an AI woman he designed, escape. Sounds like the dude's a bit of a creep. I'm sure he falls in love with her too.
They will finish filming in Europe and Japan in 2021. (source: Vulture)
