Most of the counties around Atlanta are going 100% virtual learning in the Fall, and over 300 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in high school sports, so what did the GHSA decide?

Football is STILL ON!... for now. The ghsa had an important meeting today to decide the fate of the season. GHSA executive director Robin Hines was very outspoken about not cancelling the season for High School athletes. Even with 300 cases reported since June, Hines told WSB-2, “We meet weekly with our sports medicine advisory council, and you know we examine the data and look at where we are and in all of these types of things.”

The board feels like it's safe to continue the season and will monitor the situation as it goes. They have opted to push the start of the season back 2 weeks, with games starting Labor Day weekend. They will have scrimmages 21st and 28th and practice still starts next Monday.
