Woman Takes Selfie With A Wild Bear

She wasn't necessarily trying to take the selfie, but the froze when the bear approached to check her out. The video is wild!

At an ecological park in Mexico, the hikers came upon a bear who was very interested in them. As oppose to running, they had been trained to stay calm and remained motionless while the bear came over to sniff them out. That takes A LOT of balls! I think first instinct would be to run away. That may trigger the bears natural instinct to attack though.

Park rangers praised the actions of the hikers, because you can see the bear was uninterested after he smelled them a little.

“First of all we want to communicate that we are relieved that people were unharmed. We thank the visitors who gave their support to the three people and we recognise the calm they maintained during the tense moment they lived through,” the park’s statement said. They advised people not to get close to wildlife for a picture as it can be dangerous for both hikers and animals.

One of them was quick to get in a selfie though... cause how often does a bear photobomb you?

She's lucky though, that the sound of the phone taking a pic didn't scare the wild animal. That could've gone bad too!
