The new Borat movie that was released today, tried shooting a prank in Lilburn, GA but the police responding weren't as easily fooled by Sacha Baron Cohen.
“Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan” is the name of the new film that you can see on Amazon Prime this weekend. Rudy Giuliani has been the most talked about celebrity that was fooled by Borat for the film, when he took what he thought was a legitimate interview, and ended up in an odd situation in a hotel room with the female reporter. Borat busts in while Giuliani has his hand in his pants and screams "that's my 15 year old daughter.... take me instead".
Giuliani has since said nothing inappropriate was going on, and he was ambushed while tucking his shirt back in, after taking off the microphone.
Sacha, who plays the Borat character, tried fooling some police in Lilburn as well, and they caught on to the prank quickly. The incident was all caught on a trooper's body cam. They walked up to a truck that had a woman riding on top, while sitting in a chair. As they approached, Cohen is driving and in character. They go about the typical questions and identification before they realize it's a set-up. One cop say "you know what this is right?... Dude, there is a camera around here."
The officers, Alvey Lamb and Daniel Bride, realize it some sort of prank show and even said "the dude sitting in the truck looks like Borat". This was all filmed back in January of this year. It shows up in the trailer for the film, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out in the movie.
