California kayakers where almost swallowed by a giant whale before it spit them back out
Julie McSorley and Liz Cottriel were kayaking off the coast of Avila Beach when a massive humpback whale surfaced just below their kayak. In the video, you can see them literally in the mouth of the monster.
The couple noticed they where surrounded by bait fish when, "I saw the whale come up. I thought, 'Oh, no! It's too close." Liz told KMPH-TV. "All of a sudden, I lifted up, and I was in the water." This had to be so terrifying. The whale obviously wasn't trying eat the Kayaker but no one wants to be collateral damage either.
Thankfully the whale did not have them on the menu, as they are much larger than their normal meal. Both Kayakers made it to shore safely after the whale noticed it's error and released them from it's jaws.
Liz and Julie laughed about the scary ordeal once they where on shore and back to their car. Liz said, "I was shaking my shirt and fish where falling out."
They could've ended up like Jonah!
