Israeli Scientists have created the world's first car that a Goldfish can drive! Why? .... Who knows! #WhatTheWhat
From the chronicles of "Wow... that seems like a giant waste of time, money and research!" comes the ability for Goldfish to drive their tank around. Scientists at Israel's Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, created a bowl on wheels. Whenever the goldfish swims to a certain spot on the tank, the car moves in that direction.
They've actually even trained the Goldfish to find targets and lessen their time doing so with the help of food. Just like dogs!
"The study hints that navigational ability is universal rather than specific to the environment," said Shachar Givon, a Ph.D. student. "Second, it shows that goldfish have the cognitive ability to learn a complex task in an environment completely unlike the one they evolved in. As anyone who has tried to learn how to ride a bike or to drive a car knows, it is challenging at first."
GREAT THANKS SHACHAR! You got a fish to drive! ..... Maybe lay off the weed a little, and come up with a cure for cancer or something valuable. Hell... maybe you can teach my sister to drive. She's terrible at it!
