In the fun bass-akwards world we live in, Beijing Olympians are asked to refrain from hugs... but here are a boatload of condoms. #MakesSense
The Beijing Olympic games are set for Feb. 4-20 in Beijing and the nearby city of Zhangjiakou. Athletes will live in a COVID-free bubble that strictly separates athletes and other Games personnel from the public. Also, an athlete handbook on COVID-19 measures tells athletes to minimize physical interactions such as hugs, high-fives, and handshakes. Plus, they are asked to remain at least 2 meters from fellow competitors. That's gonna make sex tough.. right?!
In the same breath, Organizers sent out an email to all personnel stating, "All Olympic-related units will provide appropriate quantities of condoms for free at the appropriate time to people who've checked in to stay inside the loop."
Each journalist had 5 condoms in their welcome bags. In the past (at The Tokyo Olympics), organizers have ordered over 160,000 condoms to distribute to athletes in their dorms for practicing safe intercourse. Supposedly, athletes are "discouraged" from using them and asked to just "take them home".
RIGHT!? Got it! "DO NOT HUG.... unless you're naked and wrapped in latex. Saftey first!"
