I mean... Marvin Gaye is probably responsible for half the U.S. population if we're honest! Why wouldn't it work for monkeys?
A British zoo is treating its monkey to live music to help them get in the "mood." A Marvin Gaye impersonator was hired to sing love songs at the Trentham Monkey Forest. Zoo keepers are trying to fun and creative ways to encourage the endangered female monkeys to show affection to the male monkey's. As of late, they've had a lack of interest. “We thought it could be a creative way to encourage our females to show a little affection to males that might not have been so lucky in love,” said park director Matt Lovatt. So, in comes the Marvin Gaye impersonator to inspire them with some sexy time music.
Zoo authorities say they are excited to see if their experiment worked when the birthing season arrives in late spring.... wouldn’t they know pretty instantly when things get... uh... Sexy.. In the monkey enclosure?!
"Oh no!! Carl and Jasmine are getting frisky! Maybe we should give them some space. I mean it is a little creepy if we sit here and watch!"
I guess if that doesn't work... maybe see if Boyz II Men is available:
