I am beside myself how excited I am to see this movie! I have been an Elvis fan since I was a small boy. I used to believe I was Elvis re-incarnated, I was so obsessed!
Oscar-nominated filmmaker Baz Luhrmann and Warner Bros. Pictures are releasing “Elvis", this summer. The film stars Austin Butler and Oscar winner Tom Hanks. The movie explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
The story follow complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years. It documents Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom as culture was evolving and loss of innocence was happening in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley played by Olivia DeJonge.
It is set to release in theaters in North America on June 24, 2022, and internationally beginning 22 June 2022.
