8-Year-Old Georgia girl's birthday gift turns out to be a huge bag of weed. When she opened up her gift that was supposed to be a toy, it had been replaced by a pound of weed!
A little girl in Spalding County, GA was having the time of her life. She was turning 8 and having a very girly, pink, flowery party with family and friends that turned into a police investigation really quick. As she opened a gift from a family friend, the box was for "Slimy Goop Squishy Chums", but that was not what was in the box.
"My daughter's reaction was dad I got scammed I got a bunch of leaves," her Father told Fox 5.
The gift was purchased at a store in Fayette County called Found Fortunes. Police don't believe the store owners knew what was in the box but are looking into where it came from.
"Whoever done it knew what they were doing. I think they need to be stopped. This shouldn't be happening, no child should open this up as a gift," her Father said to Fox 5.
Fayette deputies said they've seen similar packages recently, so this isn't the first time for an incident like this.
Listen... I'm not sure who the family friend is, but my Birthday is in April and you are invited to come to the party. Gifts required!
