It was a full on NASCAR race with a Dodge Charger on Georgia highway late at night Saturday.
Speeds reach upwards of 145mph during this dangerous chase in Forsyth. Forsyth County Sheriff dash cam video shows a driver leading deputies on a high-speed chase on GA 400.
Lamont Rashid, 23, was taken into custody after the Charger was forced to slow down when a deputy successfully used stop strips. The suspect then pulled over and surrendered without further incident to police.
Rashid is now facing a slew of charges:
-Driving under the influence of drugs;
-Fleeing/attempting to elude;
-Reckless driving;
-Failure to maintain lane;
-Speeding;
-Failure to obey traffic control device;
-Driving while license suspended or revoked;
-Driving on the wrong side of the roadway;
-Improper turn.
