A fun day drinking with friends on a pedal pub in Atlanta can take a scary turn fast.
Several people sustained injuries after a crash while riding a pedal pub Saturday in midtown Atlanta.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, the pedal pub, full of riders, was going too fast as it tried making a turn and flipped over.
15 people were injured; three seriously and 2 critical, according to Atlanta Fire Rescue.
In a statement, President of Pedal Pub Development, LLC, Todd Treml, said, The safety of our customers is our top priority, so we were shocked and saddened to learn of the situation involving one of the independently owned and operated franchises in Atlanta. Pedal Pub Development is thankful to the bystanders and first responders who rushed into action. We will continue to follow the updates involving the Atlanta franchise, keeping all those who are impacted in our thoughts and prayers.”
CBS 46 reported that the driver of the pedal pub was arrested and charged with a DUI, as well as, a business permit violation.
