This make me want to cry looking at this beautiful car destroyed by an idiot who told police "I'm unfamiliar with driving a stick shift".
50-year-old Robert J. Guarini, from Boca Raton, FL, was just leaving his neigborhood when he lost control of his exotic car while downshifting. He ran it straight into a palm tree. Guarini then had a security worker give him a ride back to his house, where he called authorities, leaving the vehicle unattended, the report says.
The car is a rare 550-horsepower supercar is worth over $700,000.
Guarini told Road & Track magazine that he wasn't speeding. “I don’t want people to think I was racing at 90 mph," Guarini says. "I was going 35 mph.” He also said several factors where involved in the accident, not just the lack of experience. He believes that old tires, muddy pavement, and a fresh detailing caused the car to skid out when he was downshifting wrong.
YOU SIR.... ARE A FREAKING IDIOT. Please don't buy another sports car. Leave that to the guys who get it.
