News Reporter Slurring Words and Disheveled On Live News

A weekend News anchor in Albany was suspended after appearing under the influence on Live news. Slurring, not able to coherently speak, and even calling the weather person the wrong name.

Heather Kovar, a weekend anchor on CBS6 Albany, is blaming bereavement and exhaustion for an embarrassing newscast that lead to here suspension from on-air. When she was very noticeably botching words and losing here train of through during the newscast Saturday, viewers took to twitter to express concerns and take a few shots at the reporter for seeming to be "drunk" on air.

She even called the meteorologist the wrong name saying, "And of course, just like me, meteorologist Craig Gold is working a double shift."

Kovar told the Albany Times-Union newspaper that she had just cut her personal leave short after the loss of her Father in May to come back on air and was asked to work extra news casts. She said she was "sleep-deprived and exhausted" for Saturday's 6 p.m. broadcast.

The network's vice president Robert Croteau said they are investigating the incident and that she is on suspension until it is completed. It was later revealed that she told them she wouldn't be renewing her contract.

I'm just shocked that she kept saying "Schenectady" correctly.... I can barely say that sober.
