Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA got a little extra fight action when an audience member became involved and knock down wrestler Tony Nese with one punch.
Rapper Kevin Gates, a major wrestling fan, was just watching from ring side when he became involved in an altercation with AEW superstar Tony Nese and his manager Mark Sterling. In the middle of the melee, Sterling said Gates' music "SUCKS!"
Tag Team Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland were just crowned the Tag Team Champs, when Nese's manager tried getting Gates to sign a petition against the Tag Team. Gates refused and Sterling said, "Just like Swerve Strickland, you're untrustworthy, and your music sucks!!!". As Gates went after Strickland, Nese got in his way and kept talking trash. Gates took a swing and knocked Nese to the floor with one hit.
It was more than likely a skit, but many have slowed down the footage and are saying Gates actually busted him in the jaw for real.
The 36-year-old "2 Phones" hit-maker may have some wrestling chops to go with his bars.
Could Gates be jumping in the ring soon with Nese for a real re-match? The drama is always thick in professional wrestling, but I'm sure Nese isn't just gonna take a jaw pop and let it go.
