After a viral Tik Tok by JoJo Siwa, the "Fuller House" actress claims she was wrongly labeled and Jo Jo apologized.
JoJo Siwa, Youtube and DWTS alum, did a Tik Tok trend where she named "the rudest celebrity" encounter she ever had. She tired to be discrete about it by quickly showing her phone and then pulling it away from the camera, but her followers where quick to freeze frame and call out the actress, Bure.
After a lot of online backlash, Candace responded to the Tik Tok on her own social media. She said, "I immediately tried to reach out to her through mutual friends, and my publicist contacted her manager, and I DM'd her because I didn't know what happened — I didn't know!"
The story, according to Bure, was that JoJo met her on a red carpet for "Fuller House" when she was 11 and Candace was busy. She told her that she couldn't take a picture "right now". Being a young fan, JoJo was heartbroken and hurt by the brush off but told Candace she was very nice about it. Siwa even explained that she understood more as she got onto red carpets and saw how stressful the moment can be.
Bure apologized and all is right with the world again.
Candace explained how hard being in the public eye can be sometime by saying this: "If you've personally ever run into me, and I was not the person you were hoping for or expecting, I just wanna say, I'm sorry. Sorry in the sense that I get asked for photos and autographs often, and 99% of the time, it is my joy to do that. I'm still a human being. All public people are."
Sometime was don't take into account that celebrities get stressed too or have off days. They deserve the same respect as anyone else and are human beings with feelings. You're not always going to catch them on a "Best day". Give them a little grace.... and don't call them out on Tik Tok.
