Bison are very aggressive animals. Experts warn to never get too close or try and pet them or feed them. They are territorial and will attack with no warning. One woman on a hike found out the hard way and ended up in the ER.

Rebecca Clark shared on Tik Tok her near death experience with a Bison in Texas. She captioned the video "Solo hiking at Caprock Canyons State Park & Trailway in Texas. I was charged and gored by a bison because I was to CLOSE to be passing them on a trailway. They are beautiful creatures protected by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) and are a part of the Texas State Bison Restoration Project where the park has restored the historic Charles Goodnight Bison herd (The Official Texas State Bison Herd) to a portion of its former range in the park. I am posting to support safety while enjoying Texas State Parks"

Clark said that she is ok and recovering after the attack. She had to lay in the bush until someone came to help. She said the Bison "gored me and threw me into a mequite bush where I laid for about 50 mins until help came."

With limited cell service she had to send text messages to her friend and family with her location so that someone could find her. She had to be life flighted to a hospital where they repaired a hole in her back and removed all the thorns and sticks.

How scary!
