Coweta police say a woman stole her date's truck, then lead police on a high speed chase down I-85
Jenifer Lee Gray is facing several major charged after police say that she met a man on "Plenty Of Fish". He then ordered her an ride share to his home for a date night out. The couple was inside his home, when he went to go use the restroom before they went out. As the victim returned from the restroom, he saw his truck speeding off and called 911
"As they’re getting ready to go out for the evening, he’s getting ready, he hears his truck crank up in the driveway, and she’s left in it," said Coweta County Sheriff’s Sgt. Toby Nix. Gray was intercepted by Coweta sheriff's deputies and led them on a chase that reached speed over 100 mph, according to police reports.
She even tried ramming officers when they attempted a PIT maneuver. She was eventually captured on I-85 and arrested. Gray, who is 37-years-old, was charged with theft by taking and fleeing from police. She was booked into the Coweta County Jail.
Deputies dubbed this the "Date from Hell", according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
In hindsight, looking at her mugshot, Gray looks like someone who would steal your struck mid-date.
