Father Overcomes Paralysis To Dance With His Daughter

A father, who had been paralyzed, worked hard to get back on his feet and surprised his daughter by walking her down the aisle and dancing at her wedding.

Jim Stamp was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, that left him unable to walk and in the hospital for five months.

But Jim was determined. Jim made progress with physical therapy and eventually he moved out of his wheelchair and began using a cane instead. Stamp was focused on getting strong enough to walk his daughter, Gina, down the aisle at her wedding. Jim reached his goal and with the assistance of a cane, he walked her. That was impressive, but everyone was really blown away when he ditched the cane during their father-daughter dance.
