Harper Comparin was born with Spina Bifida, a birth defect that occurs when the spine and spinal cord don't form properly, causing some to have a hard time learning to walk. Harper's parents were worried that she may never be able to walk.
Doctor Michelle Schultz has been working with Harper at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg and she wanted to get her up and moving. Dr. Schultz decided to see if "Baby Shark" would help. Once the song came on, Harper became very excited. They use the beat as a metronome for Harper to step on every beat. After some practice, Harper began to walk.
