A Florida car thief had his getaway go way off course -- after he abandoned a stolen vehicle and tried to outrun cops on a golf cart instead.
The man is one of four suspects who reportedly went on a car-boosting binge at a Cracker Barrel near Palm City. And why not, right?
You know when people start eating those dumplings…and then shopping in the Old Country Store…it’s gonna be a minute before they’re ready to leave.
So the men successfully swiped several vehicles from the restaurant and moved on to a nearby gas station, where they found an idling auto that they hopped into -- before speeding away a little too quickly and crashing near the golf course.
Three of the guys fled on foot, but one got the bright idea to strong arm a bunch of geezers and take off on the rental cart, which has a top speed of 15 miles per hour. He was caught.
