As you sit in the stands at a high school football game tonight, maybe you’ll want to share this story with the people around you.
There’s a picture of a couple of high school football players in Texas that has been warming hearts all over social media.The photo of Sherman High School player Gage Smith kneeling in prayer with rival West Mesquite High’s Ty Jordan has gone viral and the story behind it is even better.
Gage learned that Ty’s mom is battling stage 4 cancer and asked if he could pray with his opponent after the game. He said,
“During the game we’re enemies and we’re gonna play and try to win the game, but you still have that respect for the other opponent.I wanted to do that prayer for him.”
