Hitting a Deer Is More Likely Now Due To The Rut

The rut is on! We are sure you've heard that before but might not know what it really means. "The Rut" is a time of year when the whitetail deer population is mating. A doe, a female deer, is producing more estrus during this time and it only happens once a year. The estrus drives buck's wild, causing them to go crazy trying to find the doe. With that insanity, a buck will chase a doe and stop at nothing to find her, which can prove deadly for motorists.

Here are some tips to avoid an accident. Slow down and scan the area. Deer can dart out at any time.
