'Shelter in Place' What Does It Truly Mean?

Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia is putting 'Shelter in Place' into effect at 6pm Friday. The order deems travel to be for necessary tasks, such as grocery shopping, going to work, seeking medical attention, taking a hike or even hunting and fishing. The order does call for the mandatory shut down of fitness clubs, gyms, live music venues, amusement parks, hair design shops, beauty shops, massage shops, spas, bars and clubs. It also closes restaurants to sit down meals but does allow for take out and delivery.

Officials urge you to maintain social distancing of six feet. Meaning, you can do things outside the house but can only be around others who live in your household. Meaning, if you live with your immediate family, them. If you live with roommates, them. If you do not live with these people, to stay away from them.

How about attending church? While officials haven't formally closed places of worship, they are asking you and church leaders to maintain social distancing.

Basically, it comes down to common sense. As one person, stay away from others.
