Several people were fined after not following "shutdown" orders and going to 7-11 a town over. The men were fined by police even though they tried to explain that the drinks they were getting were "essential." The men traveled from Fremont to Santa Cruz, a distance of over 50 miles. The police tweeted about the incident and included the hashtag, #ShelterInYourOwnTown.
