Marty Jannetty wrestled way back in the day but recently has made headlines after a social media post. In the post, Jannetty talked about working at Victory Lanes, where a man, who Jannetty used a slur for a gay man in the post, assaulted him. Jannetty continued his post, writing, "That was the very first time I made a man disappear. They never found him. They shoulda looked in the Chattahoochie River."
Jannetty is referencing the Chattahoochee River which runs through Georgia and Columbus, the town Jannetty was raised. Now the Columbus Police Department is investigating. A spokesperson from the homicide/cold case division says, "The first step will be seeing if we have any missing persons or unidentified remains cases that match the limited information in the post."
