Coweta County Continues To Prove They Are #NewnanStrong

We are just so impressed with the strength and resilience of the Newnan/Coweta County Community. So many experienced complete loss after an EF-4 Tornado ripped through Newnan in March. And despite everybody trying to put their own pieces back together, they continue to step up for each other.

That was evident again over the weekend when the Newnan community came together to donate bikes to three brothers whose family lost everything due to the tornado. The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office has an Adopt-A-Bike program. They made an announcement over the weekend that they were out of bikes, but they really wanted to help JJ, DJ and Anthony.

Thanks to the Quackenbush family, the boys will be sporting some pretty cool bikes. And thanks to the generosity of so many others, they’ll also ride their bikes safely with new helmets. They’re also getting a bunch of other fun things to enjoy this summer!

The boys’ grandma wants to thank everybody involved. She says the boys are so happy and may God bless each of those who helped tenfold.

And even better, many donated bikes to the Adopt A Bike Program in Coweta County.

Anyone who has a gently used bike, or would be willing to donate a new one, can contact Melanie at Mswartz@coweta.ga.us.
