Have you ever been stuck between two people you really care about?
Reba McEnitire certainly understands this odd position with the divorce of Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock. She's been very close friends with Kelly for years. She's also been like a mentor to Kelly. For awhile, she was also Kelly's mother-in-law. Brandon is her step-son.
Reba and Brandon’s dad Narvel Blackstock were married for 26 years, and while she and Narvel aren't together anymore she does consider Brandon family.
In a recent interview, she didn't take sides.
“You know, I love them both…I am pulling for both of them. I hope they’re happy and healthy and pull though this. I pray everyone gives them the encouragement they can because they need it right now, both of them do. I love the both of them with all my heart.”
As for the legal drama with the divorce, the judge in the divorce case ruled that thanks to their prenup, their Montana ranch belongs to Kelly, and it turns out that’s not the only Montana property she got in the split.
The judge ruled Kelly is also the sole owner of a 7-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom building located in the city of Anaconda, Montana and a 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom house in Philipsburg, Montana, which was being used as a bed and breakfast.
According to reports, Blackstock hasn’t made any move to leave the Montana ranch, and a judge has since ordered him to pay for the upkeep, which is around $81,000 a month.
Regardless, Kelly is said to want him out of the place ASAP. But she's a pro because she's continuing to be "business as usual" on her talk show and on The Voice.
