My husband and I have visited the "Friendly Island" of St. Martin many times. We spent our honeymoon there! Today this beautiful island has been devastated by Hurricane Irma. Here are some images from our friend Marty Dijkhuis - a long time resident on the island and from a few others.
Maho Beach in St. Martin is famous for the place where people watch air planes land so close you feel you can touch them. That runway and and airport are both now underwater!
