The concern and impact on our lives and economy continues to grow as cases of Covid-19, better known as the Coronavirus, show up in countries around the world and right here at home! The virus has so far killed more than 2,800 people, many of them in China, and infected more than 80,000 people worldwide.

In an effort to provide accurate information on the spread of the coronavirus, the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland has created an online tool show real-time data from several official bodies, including the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Protection.

The dashboard displays the number of confirmed and suspected cases of the coronavirus, as well as the number of deaths and even those who have recovered, with a world map marking the locations of the outbreaks.

“The dashboard is intended to provide the public with an understanding of the outbreak situation as it unfolds, with transparent data sources,” officials said in a message posted on the Center for Systems Science and Engineering website.
