Country Legend Loretta Lynn passed away this morning at the age of 90. I had the honor of bringing her on stage and watching her perform in 2013 at the North Georgia State Fair in Marietta, Georgia. It was a sold out crowd with traffic backed up for miles to get in to see her! Even back then at 80 years old, she sounded amazing! (See video by @georgiapeach1981 below)
She was an amazing trail blazer for Women - not just in the country music world, but for Women everywhere. Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend.
Her music and her quick wit made me smile.
One of my favorite quotes from her sums up my life: "You've got to continue to grow, or you're just like last night's cornbread - stale and dry."
