The Chrisley's Sentenced to 12 and 7 years for Tax Evasion and Fraud

Monday, Nov 21st reality TV stars most known for "Chrisley Knows Best" were sentenced to 12 years for Todd Chrisley and 7 years for Julie Chrisley, both also with 16 months probation upon release. The couple was found guilty of the charges in June. Federal sentencing guidelines maintain that people must do a minimum of 80% of the sentenced time. Todd and Julie were found guilty of tax evasion and mail fraud to secure loans totaling near 30 million dollars. The Chrisleys have also been ordered to pay back 20 million to effected parties.

Currently it is unclear if the couple will be able to stagger their sentences in order to maintain custody of their 8yo granddaughter Chloe. Prosecutors in the case were asking for the higher end of the sentencing guidelines, Todd 18 to 21 years and Julie 12 years, due to the Chrisleys uncooperativeness during the investigation and denials of any wrong doing in the face of strong evidence to the contrary. The Chrisleys still maintain total innocence in the case and undoubtedly will file appeals to get a new trial.

It has been a challenging week for the personal live of the Chrisleys, with their 16yo son Grayson getting into a fairly bad car accident totaling his car in Nashville, TN. No charges or citations have been filed in that accident.
