A 2nd shooting victim from the Atlantic Station shooting which took place on Saturday, Nov. 26th has died. 15yo Cameron Jackson died late Tuesday from his wounds at Grady Hospital. Jackson was one of 6 people ranging in age from 12 to 17 who was injured in the shooting that took the life of 12yo Zyion Charles. The shooting took place on the 17th Street bridge over pass area after a large group of juveniles was escorted off of the Atlantic Station property by off duty APD officers.

Atlanta police cited the shooting as gang related and stemming from an altercation that took place inside Atlantic Station earlier. The large group of juveniles were escorted off the property by off-duty APD officers due to the curfew for unsupervised juveniles. Atlanta city council has now proposed a citywide curfew of 7p for juveniles without adult supervision or employment. This is in order to attempt to stem the gun violence trend which has been increasing in the city including 15 casualties under the age of 18 over the long Thanksgiving weekend.

The two suspects believed to be the shooters were caught on MARTA security cameras leaving the scene after the shooting laughing and acting in a celebratory manner after the shooting occurred. Crimestoppers is offering a $10,000 reward leading to an arrest in the double homicide.v Anyone with information related to this case is urged to contact Atlanta Police Department or Crimestoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477)
