There was quite a surprise on Friday during the Moote, Kimmie and Otis Morning show when Blooper and the Braves staff surprised Otis to announce he was chosen as the new host at Braves games for 2023.

Otis has, for months, been auditioning and interviewing to take over a position with the Atlanta Braves after Mark Owens retired this past off season. The In-game host position has been held down by Owens for over 16 years, before he decided it was time to hang up the hat. This lead to video auditions, a live audition process and a final look at candidates during Braves Fest as they interacted with fans and took over the fan activity duties for the Braves.

Otis was a finalist and got the surprise of his life on Friday when Blooper and Braves executive staff busted into the 94.9 The Bull studios to welcome him to Braves Country as the new host.

Otis said of the opportunity, "I couldn't be more excited to join Braves Country and be apart of such a legendary team. iHeart Atlanta Morning show host and Braves personality together is a dream come true."

Look for him at every Braves home game this season! Maybe you'll get on the Braves Vision with him!
