Kindness Campaign: Valentine's Day Cards for Assisted Living

It is our goal in 2024 to spread kindness on air and build a community of kindness and support. Valentine's Day is a day that is designed to show people that they are loved and appreciated. People in assisted living often times feel isolated and get overlooked during holidays, especially when you factor in the medically fragile and the isolation required to keep them healthy.

We want to get as many handmade Valentine's Day cards from kids in our Atlanta communities to assisted living as possible. There is no better way to teach kindness than to create a card for someone that you don't know, telling them that they are loved and appreciated.

In order to achieve this goal, we need as many schools, classrooms, community groups, families, etc to join us in creating as many handmade cards as possible that we can distribute to facilities all over Atlanta. These cards not only helping in teaching kindness to kids, showing love to those who may need it, but they also help in memory therapy with people with memory or neurological issues such as dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. The moments of memory breakthrough for priceless conversations that these cards can create are priceless.

If you would like to help us on this campaign, please email Kindness@949thebull.com. We will coordinate the pickup and distribution of the cards. Please ask any questions that you have.

Our deadline to get the Valentine' Day Cards collected so they can be sorted packaged and sent to assisted living is Friday Feb 2nd.

How many cards do we need to make?

As many as you can! There isn't a limit, every card counts.

Are there specifications for the cards?

Nope! Aside from them being handmade, you can be as creative as you'd like with the cards! We're just trying to put a smile on someone's face.

Who can participate in making cards?

Anyone! We’re so grateful to have you be a part of our Kindness Campaign. Whether you’re an individual, family, club, group, school, etc., we’re happy to include your cards in our campaign!

How do I submit a facility to be included?

Send us an email to kindness@949thebull.com with the name of the facility and the name and email address of the Activities Coordinator so we can best connect with them about card drop-offs!
